New pictures of the University of Nottingham’s Centre for the Sustainable Energy Technologies in Ningbo, China have been released.

The building’s environmental solutions were designed by leading academics Brian Ford and Saffa Riffat from Nottingham University.

The 1300m2 building has been designed to minimise its environmental impact by promoting energy efficiency. The centre generates its own energy from renewable sources, and uses locally available materials with low embodied energy.

The centre includes a visitors area, research labs and classrooms for masters courses.
