CIOB will be supporting 50 female graduates between now and March 2008 in a scheme called Female Graduates into Construction.

The scheme will target non-cognates, matching them up with employers and providing mentoring and training, leading to CIOB membership. The three female students who completed the Graduate Diploma Programme as part of the first cohort in 2007 will provide some of the mentoring. The Construction Youth Trust, Anglia Ruskin University, the University of Central Lancashire and the College of Estate Management are also involved in the scheme, which has received funding from the ConstructionSkills Women into Work project.
