The Awards reward excellence across a range of project and product innovation categories, covering everything from exterior lighting projects to light sources and control gear.
The 2002 Awards were presented at the Park Lane Hotel, London on 21 March, by Jon Snow of Channel 4 news. The traditional organiser, the Lighting Industry Federation, still supports the Awards but has handed the reins to the Institute of Lighting Engineers and Emap.
Other supporters were the International Association of Lighting Designers and the Institution of Electrical Engineers. Sponsors were Concord:marlin, D W Windsor, Helvar, iLight, Kingfisher Lighting, Osram, Philips Lighting, Reggiani and Wila Lighting.
