And the winner is…Who grabbed the gongs at this year’s Lighting Design Awards?

Electrical contractors large and small have played their part in some stunning projects that have emerged victorious at this year’s Lighting Design Awards.

Over 180 entries were received for the 12 categories, with each being scrutinised by ten senior figures and experts in their field. The winners were announced at a prize giving ceremony held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on 10 March. Over 600 lighting designers, architects, engineers and suppliers celebrated winning projects including Molton Brown Spa, the Bullring public toilets and the Royal Academy of Arts’ Restaurant at the event.

The Lighting Design Awards 2005 were organised by Emap and the Institution of Lighting Engineers and supported by the Lighting Industry Federation. They were sponsored by Concord:marlin, DW Windsor, Dynalite, Holophane, iLight, Lutron, Oldham Lighting, Philips, Reggiani, Trilux and Wila.
