Matthew Lloyd Architects has unveiled this design for 40 affordable, environment-friendly homes in Norfolk Park, Sheffield.

The homes are being built by the Environment Trust, which aims to demonstrate how eco-friendly design and construction techniques can be put into practice.

The Environment Trust has already built three similar developments in London.

Work is due to start on the Sheffield scheme next April, with completion expected by early 2006.
