Lodge targets guarding role

Loss prevention specialist Lodge Service has emphasised the continuing and vital role of store detectives and retail security officers with the opening of Lodge Service Guarding – a UK contract guarding division specialising in retail assignments.

Heading up Lodge Service Guarding is Andy Farley. Farley has 18 years' experience gained in retail management and loss prevention roles at WH Smith and Firm Security. He will direct the division's managerial team in the UK.

"What we want to do is provide end users with a consistent approach to guarding and store detective assignments," stressed Farley. "Disorganised relief cover, poor communication and low quality personnel are the main sources of complaints from end users in the sector, so our immediate focus will be to address those issues."
