These reviews were written during the run up to National 'Fire Safety Week', so it is appropriate that this particular product is designed to improve the provision of fire safety. The 'Fire Safety Log Book' is produced by the Fire Protection Association, and it provides the forms and framework to plan and document the management of fire safety.

Taking the form of a loose-leaf binder, the 'Fire Safety Log Book' contains more information than the title would suggest. For example, it includes checklists, useful diagrams, hints on best practice and advice about legal requirements.

The 14 chapters of the book incorporate: Employer obligations; staff training; means of escape; fire protection and detection measures; emergency lighting; fire fighting equipment; hot work; fire hydrants and master copies of all the relevant forms.

Speaking as one who, some years ago, spent weeks trying to compile his own organisation's fire safety log book, my recommendation would be: if you have responsibilities for fire safety, then save your time and effort and buy this excellent product.
