Another East Anglian association plans to merge with a large national player as merger fever sweeps the M11 corridor.
Minster General Housing Association in Peterborough has announced it will merge with Hyde Group in April 2006 (HT 17 September, page 9).
Under the deal Minister will remain a separate association under the Hyde Group umbrella.
Steve Wilson, Minster chief executive, said: “We have a sound management base but like many associations we would struggle in future in development programme. This is an opportunity to expand and grow the business.”
The announcement follows merger talks between Hereward Housing and Santuary HA, and Granta HS and Metropolitan Housing Trust.
