Haden Young
In 1999, Haden Young developed a strategy for the new millennium that included a mission statement 'to be the best and most cost effective building services company in the UK'. The results speak for themselves; operating profit has improved each year since 1999, with 2002 seeing a figure of £8.45 million, an increase of 7.9% on 2001. Haden's analysis of its performance using KPIs impressed the judges. This allows robust examination of the business and allows the company to address any weak spots. Haden Young's achievement of ISO 14001 was significant and it was one of only five construction companies to achieve a RoSPA QSA Level 4 grading for its health and safety performance.
