SIR – Last December you may recall that I wrote to you regarding the launch of the Interim Management Dining Club. We only invited senior people within the interim management fraternity to join us. At the time many individuals called to say it sounded like a great idea and that they wanted to 'join the ranks', but that they would wait and see.

Let me tell you and the readers of SMT that the inaugural event was a tremendous success. There was a fabulous mix of attendees, divided between interim managers, interim service providers and others directly connected to the industry.

Our guests were Christopher McKane (executive editor at The Times, who's keen to further the cause of interim management in the national press) and Taravat Taher-Zadeh, chairman of the Institute of Interim Management.

We now have a brand new web site (to be found at www.imdc.info) from where interested parties are able to download our Newsletters. If any SMT readers would like to join our organisation, there's a one-off joining fee of £10 and an annual subscription of £35. Contact us and find out what we're all about.
