Construct IT, the industry-owned research organisation based at Salford University, is bringing out six more how-to guides in July.
The areas covered are: developing and improving a website, project communications, virtual reality, applying standards to CAD, achieving benefits from IT and developing an IT vision. This is in addition to the 11 guides already produced by Construct IT, on subjects ranging from how to budget for IT to emerging technologies such as XML.
Manager of Construct IT Jason Underwood says the guides are meant as an introduction. "These guides are not technical manuals, they are aimed at senior managers and chief executives. They target medium-sized companies, but the information can be adapted."
The guides will be on the Construct IT and IT Construction Best Practice websites, at www.construct-it.org.uk and www.itcbp.org.uk.
