Managers should turn to mediation

We recently secured a five-figure settlement for a client who had almost given up on the legal process. He had been pursuing a claim for over two years, when out of the blue his legal expenses insurers told him they weren’t prepared to fund any further action. Although keen to push the claim through the Courts, we advised mediation as a first port of call.

Following mediation, both parties arrived at a mutually satisfactory settlement, and my client was awarded the payment mentioned. Had he gone to Court he may have lost, received no compensation and been faced with a huge bill for legal costs.
