Robert Osborne, former CEO of Partnerships for Schools, has led a management buyout of Augmentis, a firm specialising in dispute resolution and commercial and procurement consultancy.
He plans to triple profits and double the current annual turnover of £6m. This will be done by expanding the company’s book of business further into the bid side of projects. At present Augmentis does more work on the client side. It will continue to focus on PFI projects in the health, education, utilities and transport sectors. New people will be taken on to bolster the existing staff of less than 50.
Osborne led the buyout alongside colleagues James Leng and founder of the company Steve Darling.
The other founder, Les Hilderbrandt, has left the company following the MBO.
Augmentis works throughout the UK from three offices located in London, in Chester and near Halifax. There are no current plans to expand internationally.
