Following the recent acquisition of CCTV specialist Philips CSI and its merger with Bosch Detection Systems to form the all-new Bosch Security Systems, it has been announced that Joe McCann (pictured) is heading up the new operation.

Previously managing director of Bosch Detection Systems in the UK, McCann assumes responsibility for integrating the former Detection Systems (DS) and CSI businesses into a single combined company which is soon to relocate to Bosch's main facility in Denham. The new operation combines DS' strengths in fire and intrusion with Philips' proven expertise in CCTV, PA and paging.

McCann brings extensive experience to his new role, having held both technical and managerial positions with Wormald and acting as operations manager for Honeywell's Protection Services Division. Joe also ran a major monitoring company in Australia.
