Have you ever wondered what the CIOB is doing to raise the profile of the Institute?
Figures just released reveal that over the last 18 months there has been a dramatic rise in CIOB media coverage. 2004 saw a 97% increase of CIOB coverage within publications like Building, Construction News and Contract Journal. Even in the national press - a significantly more difficult nut to crack - the CIOB averaged more than one national mention every month and throughout 2004 over 19m people had the opportunity to read about the CIOB. “Not only are we communicating with greater frequency but we’re reaching a far larger number of people,” said the CIOB’s Saul Townsend.
In 2004 the CIOB developed a dedicated spokesperson service to ensure that the there is always an army of articulate experts ready talk to the media on a variety of subjects. But more are needed. Do you think you have what it takes to add your voice to the CIOB cause?
