I hate to do this to somebody as eminent as Terry Wyatt, but I think his memory must be fading after 35 years (BSj 09/08).

The water used for the Liverpool Daily Post & Echo building and Royal Insurance (now Royal Sun Alliance) headquarters building does not come from the Mersey Tunnel – well, not the one shown, anyway. It comes from the Mersey rail tunnel. The Mersey road tunnel has hardly any seepage.
