MK Electric has launched a new fire alarm isolator to ensure that systems comply with the requirements of BS 5839: Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems for Buildings, Part 1.

The standard requires that alarm systems be double-pole isolated and that the isolator be lockable in the on and off position. A traditionally switched isolator will not comply with regulations.

The lockable isolator provides a robust, durable and safe solution to BS 5839 says MK, and it comes in the Logic Plus, Aspect, Edge and Albany Plus accessories ranges.
