15 - The percentage drop in the Council of Mortgage Lenders’ forecast on housing repossessions. The CML said large cuts in interest rates had made mortgage repayments more affordable.

25 - The percentage improvement in energy efficiency for new homes and commercial buildings required from October 2010 under revisions to Part L of Building Regulations, now out for consultation.

£2.5m - The salary Lord Rogers paid himself for June 2007-08, up from £1.8m in the previous year. Despite the downturn and a public row with Prince Charles over the design of Chelsea Barracks, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners also posted a 30% rise in turnover to £32.9m.

53 - The number of construction workers killed at work in 2008/09, down from 72 last year, the Health and Safety Executive has revealed. Even so, the rate of fatal injuries was 2.4 per 100,000 workers, making construction one of the most dangerous industries.

70,000 - The number of jobs that could be created in the wind energy sector, new energy minister Lord Hunt told the British Wind Energy Association conference.

£2.4bn - The value of Costain’s recession-defying order book. The contractor has £900m of work secured for 2009 and says its tendering activity remains high.
