Cooper restyles Safe Edge model to serve offices, hotels and restaurants

Cooper Lighting and Safety has restyled and updated its Menvier Safe Edge exit sign to make it more suitable for use in modern applications.

Equipped with an acrylic legend panel that is designed to pivot through a wide arc, this edge-lit exit sign can be mounted on walls or horizontal or sloping ceilings.

The restyled Safe Edge features an elegant slim profile and is available in a choice of white or silver finishes. Legends can be specified in either European Signs Directive format or BS 5499 Part 1 format.

The sign has a concealed surface cable entry, as well as the existing rear Besa lighting cabling facilities.

Safe Edge operates in maintained mode and complies with the minimum luminance and uniformity requirements of EN 1838, providing a minimum of three hours’ illumination from an 8 W T5 fluorescent lamp in the event of mains failure.

Particularly suitable for use in environments such as boardrooms, offices, hotels and restaurants, the exit sign can be specified with self-test capability if required, and also comes in slave versions for use with central battery systems.
