The S Harrison Group has made four appointments. Ann Scott is the new finance director for the construction and development subsidiaries and group company secretary, Ian Falshaw is legal and corporate services director, Nigel Firn takes on the role of director of the group while retaining his role as managing director of developments and Stephen Hallet is the new managing director of the construction arm.
St Albans-based construction and development group Mount Anvil has appointed Mark Crosbie its new design and build manager. Crosbie joins from Wimpey Homes where he was product development manager.
Bellway Homes has appointed Sian Moules its new field sales supervisor. Moules has been with the company for three years and was previously part-exchange controller.
Twigden Homes has promoted Ann Carr to the post of sales and marketing manager. She will have responsibility for Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and the West Midlands. Carr was previously area sales manager.
Andrew Bright has joined Chesterton’s Leeds office as senior building surveyor. Bright was previously with EC Harris.
Oscar Faber has made two appointments. Richard Mann and Jeremy Grant have both been promoted to associate director, at the engineer’s Edinburgh office.
Bob White is the new chairman of the Movement for Innovation. White, chief executive of construction manager Mace, replaces Alan Crane, who has left to chair the new Rethinking Construction company.
The Concrete Society has a new chief executive. Martin Powell joins from Lafarge Aggregates where he was general manager of business performance. He replaces Jurek Tolloczko.
Sue Hobbs has been promoted to operations manager at the Construction Best Practice Programme. Hobbs has been with the programme since its inception in 1998, and replaces Peter Jones who has taken a position in Customs and Excise.
Timber frame manufacturer Torwood has appointed Christine Jones managing director, with responsibility for customer service. Jones joins from Stewart Milne where she was commercial director.
Philip Cooper is Ballast’s new managing director. He has been with the contractor for four years and was previously operations director of Ballast’s services division.
Law firm Trowers & Hamlins has appointed Colin Moore a partner at its Manchester office. Moore will specialise in construction law and dispute resolution and joins from Halliwell Landau, where he was a partner in the construction and engineering department.
Bovis Lend Lease has promoted Graham Jelly to the post of global procurement director. Jelly was previously procurement director of Bovis Lend Lease Europe.
