I note with dismay how Lindsay Pullen of the BCIS has responded to my letter (Letters, QS News, 4 November).

Having had their seriously incorrect figures questioned, the BCIS have responded by slinging mud at me.

Having taken a professional route encompassing Eastern Europe and the Middle East, I am fully aware of regional variations in price and I can assure you that the north west (where I am based) and the midlands (where the rates were allegedly sourced) have very similar pricing levels.

The rates quoted were wrong to the tune of 30%. This is not an insignificant variation.
