Franklin + Andrews is set to lose the head of its London property division, Tony Farmiloe, who is joining rival Gardiner & Theobald
QS News understands Farmiloe resigned from the Mott MacDonald QS and project management division earlier this summer. He had been at the firm for 26 years.
Farmiloe will start at G&T as a partner next month and joins ex-colleagues Kevin Arnold and Tony Venn, who both left F+A after its merger with Mott MacDonald in 2002. Arnold, formerly managing director at F+A, set up a commercial team at G&T when he joined in 2003. He was joined by Venn, who Farmiloe replaced as head of property, last spring.
Farmiloe’s departure follows the loss of two directors at F+A’s property division this summer, Paul Hazell and Spencer James. James has since joined Gleeds, while Hazell has gone to AYH. The two left due to restructuring at the firm. In an interview with QS News in July, Guy Leonard, who heads the Mott MacDonald division that oversees F+A, said there had been a “rebalancing” at the property division which led to the two directors going.
