Tim Geddes has taken over from David Cowden as the new chairman of the British Security Industry Association.
He served as BSIA vice-chairman since July 2001 and has chaired the BSIA Security Systems Section for seven years. His appointment was unanimously approved by the BSIA Council.

Outgoing chairman, David Cowden, will serve as vice chairman for a one-year term to promote continuity of experience, after which a new vice chairman will be appointed with the intention of succeeding Geddes in two years time.

Meanwhile, Steve Kimber, managing director of Southern Monitoring Services becomes the new chairman of the BSIA Security Systems Section.
