Ray Hodges (above) has joined Siemens Building Technologies (SBT) from Pinkerton Security to become UK head of sales and marketing for security systems.
When Securitas acquired Pinkerton in 1999, as part of its plan to create an electronic security division in Europe, Hodges took sales from zero to £8.5 million.
SBT has similarly ambitious expansion plans and Hodges will implement “a very aggressive organic growth plan” using equipment sourced from either Siemens or other manufacturers that it has signed global agreements with.
- Remote monitoring specialist Remguard Visual Management recently promoted Kerry Wrench into the post of customer services manager. She joined the customer services team seven years ago through a modern apprenticeship scheme.

- Peter Hallitt has been appointed CEO of Stanley Security Solutions – Europe, the company created following the acquisition of Blick in January by The Stanley Works, a US $3 billion corporation. Meanwhile Vanda Murray, presi-dent, Europe of Stanley Security Solutions has left the company.
- Former Norbain director Dave Kynman has filled the newly creat-ed position of group sales director with Reflex, where he’ll oversee sales and marketing efforts by the group’s design & installations and service & maintenance divisions.
- Access control systems manufacturer TDSi has named Mike Sussman as its new technical director.
