New Islington & Hackney Housing Association has rebranded and is now called Mosaic Homes.
The £10,000 corporate overhaul makes Mosaic the latest in a series of RSLs to change their image, including East Thames Housing Group, now East Homes, and Bradford & Northern, now Accent.
East London-based Mosaic took the step as part of an expansion drive into neighbouring boroughs and further east into Essex. Its subsidiary New Essex will become Mosaic Essex.
The move follows Mosaic’s successful bid to be one of 70 Housing Corporation development partners: it received £58m to build more than 1000 homes in the next two years in the South-east.
This will include a 126-unit, mixed-tenure scheme in Hackney Wick, east London and a self-build scheme in Essex, where unemployed people will build their own homes and get an NVQ in construction.
