Two new toolkits are being launched to demonstrate how construction companies can make the most of partnering and supply chain integration.
BSRIA has launched The Partnering Toolkit: A guide for the whole supply chain. This provides practical advice such as ‘When to partner’ and ‘Pitfalls to avoid’. Preparation of the report included in-depth interviews with companies across the supply chain to ask them what they think of partnering and related issues.

The Rethinking Construction Strategic Forum is also in the process of developing its Integration toolkit, due out in April. The toolkit will include a review of successful approaches and draw out key factors for successful integration such as: early involvement, selection by value, and use of common processes. This toolkit is currently in consultation format for review by potential users, with feedback welcome until 31 March.

You can find the Integration toolkit on www.cbpp.org.uk and it is continuously updated. The plan is to produce a CD every six months.

The BSRIA Partnering toolkit is available from their bookshop at £60 or £40 for BSRIA members. Call 01344 426511 or e-mail bookshop@bsria.co.uk
