The Carbon Trust has created a new nationwide network of regional managers to strengthen its support for business across the UK.
The Trust is seeking to provide practical and effective support for companies who stand to make considerable cost savings through improved energy efficiency.

Chief executive of the Carbon Trust, Tom Delay says: "Carbon Trust is committed to working with business and public sector organisations to provide practical programmes which will improve competitiveness and profitability. The new network of Regional Mangers will strengthen our national activities by linking them closely into their regional contexts."

The first of six initial regional manager appointments is Peter Strutton for the East Midlands. Delay adds: "Peter has joined the Carbon Trust team and is helping us to drive our activities in the East Midlands. Carbon Trust has a clear remit to help the UK reduce its CO2 emission levels. Peter's appointment demonstrates our commitment to developing relationships and programmes with organisations at a regional level."

The remit of the regional managers will include the promotion of the Trust's low carbon innovation programme which focuses on the development of a low carbon industry sector.
