The Lincoln firm was at the front of the queue to take delivery of H&L’s first Vito when the model was launched in the run up to Christmas. The two Vito 111CDIs are earning their keep as a fitters’ van and delivery vehicle, in the livery of Stonebow Home Improvements and its sister company Stonebow PVC-U Supplies, respectively. They are joined by two larger Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans, bought through the Approved Used vehicle programme.
The firm has been installing windows and conservatories in homes and businesses across Lincolnshire for 19 years. ‘The longevity of the company in this industry speaks volumes of the reputation we have built up in the county,’ explains Mr Julian. ‘It’s therefore important for us to run prestigious motors which reflect this.’
Fitted with roof racks, and one kitted out with internal glass-carrying frails, the vans are proving a big hit. ‘The new Vito is a very versatile vehicle and an improvement on its predecessor,’ observes Mr Julian. ‘It’s a completely different animal altogether.’
