Housebuilder Persimmon has been given the go-ahead for a £47m development on the site of the old Orwell Terminal timber works in Ipswich, Suffolk. The development includes an 11-storey tower with 354 houses and apartments, restaurants and bars. Persimmon said the Robert Macdonald-designed scheme would trigger the regeneration of Ipswich docks.
