Contractor Willmott Dixon has won a £15m contract to build a 50m swimming pool in Corby, Northamptonshire.
The pool has been designed by S&P Architects, which is also working on Zaha Hadid’s aquatic centre for the 2012 London Olympic Games. The Corby pool will be one of only a handful of 50m pools in the UK, and will also contain a 20m warm-up pool, fitness suite and spa bath.
