Council gives permission for John Robertson Architects’ revamp of existing property

Academy House, Oxford Street

Westminster council has granted planning permission for the refurbishment of a mixed retail and commercial building, Academy House on Oxford Street, London, this week.

John Robertson Architects designed the scheme to create a 1,200m2 retail unit by combining three existing retail units. JRA’s refurbishment is an extensive remodelling of the existing Academy House, designed by Sheppard Robson in 1990.

Arcadis is project manager and Aecom is structural engineer.
