Joint venture will deliver construction services for Ochre PFI at Oxford Churchill Hospital.

A joint venture headed by Alfred McAlpine has won a £125m contract for work on the Oxford Churchill Hospital.

The joint venture, which includes Alfred McAlpine, Impregilo and M&E contractor Haden Young will deliver the construction services for the Ochre PFI consortium on the project.

The scheme involves building a cancer centre, surgery and diagnostics and private patient units on the site of the existing hospital car part. Construction will begin this month and is scheduled for completion in May 2008.

In a second contract win, Alfred McAlpine has been selected as national construction for a partnering framework agreement with Dorset County Council. The deal should be worth around £40m over five years.
