Architect wins design competition to work on 14.5 acre campus

Alison Brooks Architects has been appointed to masterplan future developments for the University of Northampton.

The practice has won a design competition to work on the university’s 14.5 acre Avenue Campus in Northampton, updating it to take account of short-term accommodation needs and longer term plans for growth in areas including the arts, sciences and technology.

ABA will be working on the masterplan with a design team comprising AKT, Davis Langdon, Grant Associates, Max Fordham and Steer Davis Gleave.

The proposals are based on a collection of buildings set around landscaped courtyards.
