Architect designs apartment scheme in Felixstowe overlooking the sea

Architect Allies and Morrison has unveiled images of a residential scheme in Felixstowe overlooking the North Sea.

The scheme, for developer Landro, comprises the refurbishment of an Edwardian hotel and the construction of two new buildings next to grade II-listed historic gardens.

The two new builds are seven and eight storeys high, housing 16 and 21 residential units respectively. Proposed for the heart of the Felixstowe conservation area, the project has been designed in close consultation with English Heritage to ensure it is harmonious to the surroundings.

Arup is the structural and services engineer, Nathaniel Lichfield the planning consultant and landscape design is by Christopher Bradley-Hole.
