ATA consortium secures five-year contract to manage services on oil and gas facilities

Project manager Amec has won a share of a $340m (£225m) job to extend BP’s oil and gas production facilities in Azerbaijan.

The company said its ATA consortium has won a five-year managed services contract with the oil giant in the country.

It will work initially on the Chirag Oil Project delivering project start-up and associated yard preparation works for an 18,000 tonne topsides facility.

Tony Cruddas, president of growth regions for Amec, said: “The award helps us with our strategy for growth in Azerbaijan and enhances our reputation there.”
