Amec eyes up opportunities in the UK the purchasing nuclear services company for £37.2m.

Amec has completed the acquisition of nuclear services business NNC Holdings. The cost of the deal was £23.5m plus £13.7m of net debt.

Chief executive Peter Mason said the nuclear market was an exciting prospect for Amec. He said: “NNC adds important new skills and significant base of nuclear engineering expertise.

“We are now in the best shape to support work operating, maintaining and decommissioning the civil nuclear infrastructure in the UK, as well as to target opportunities in Canada and around the world.”
