The exodus of senior management staff from Skanska has continued with the departure of a director involved in its PFI work.

Mike Staples, the development director of Skanska Integrated Projects, is understood to have left the company in the past few weeks. Skanska Integrated Projects is responsible for building the bulk of Skanska’s PFI schemes, including hospitals.

Staples’ departure follows that of Simon Hipperson, the head of its PPP division, who left abruptly in November after what the company called “differences over his leadership style”. Nick Pollard, vice president of the PFI business, also recently left to join Bovis Lend Lease’s UK division as chief operating officer.

A Skanska spokesperson confirmed that Staples had left its employment.
