Shares in MJ Gleeson went up 10% on Monday after the firm announced the appointment of Jolyon Harrison as managing director of its regeneration and homes business

Harrison will take the post on 2 November, replacing Colin Rossiter, who continues as managing director of Gleeson Capital Solutions, the firm’s PFI arm.

The 61 year old is currently chair of York Housing Association and JDP Rooflines. He was previously chair of Pelham Construction and managing director of Shepherd Homes.

Chris Holt, Gleeson’s chief executive, said: “Jolyon Harrison has a proven track record, over many years, in regeneration and social housing in the north of England, which is where Gleeson regeneration and homes has nearly all its operations.”
