’The Crescent’ scheme will be completed by 2014

Plans for an £80m town centre scheme in Leicestershire led by developer Wilson Bowden have been approved.

The 10-acre project known as The Crescent will include a cinema, bowling alley, bus station and supermarket.

Wilson Bowden will partner Centenary Ashcroft, Sainsbury’s and Cineworld on the scheme under the guise of the Tin Hat Regeneration Partnership.

Work on the Leicestershire town scheme is expected to start in 2012 and is due to be completed by 2014.
