Make-designed scheme in north London includes apartments and hotel

Ardmore will start work later this summer on a £30m scheme to restore the grade II*-listed Hornsey Town Hall in Crouch End, north London.

An existing car park will be demolished before the firm starts work this autumn on the first of 135 apartments designed by Make Architects.

Work is due to be wrapped up by autumn 2021. The art deco building dates back to 1935 and is considered one of the UK’s first modernist buildings.

The makeover will include a new hotel, a roof top bar and an arts centre. Developer on the scheme is Hong Kong firm Far East Consortium which has a head office in Mayfair.
