Willmott Dixon, which handled the preconstruction work on the the £35m Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, has been appointed main contractor on the scheme.
The RHWL-designed development, for Aylesbury Vale council in Buckinghamshire, will include a 1,200-seat auditorium that converts into a 1,800-capacity hall, and a 220-seat suite for smaller events including dance, drama, meetings and conferences. The scheme is due to open in early 2010.
