Tim Clarke will chair Construction Scotland Industry Leadership Group to develop plans for growth

Balfour Beatty’s divisional managing director for its Scottish arm, Tim Clarke, is to head up a new pan-industry leadership group for Scotland.

The Construction Scotland Industry Leadership Group, formed by Construction Scotland and chaired by Clarke, will develop an industry plan for driving growth in the sector.

Clarke said: “It’s no secret that the industry has been badly affected by the economic downturn over the years, but building on our key strengths and working together with public and private sector partners, academia and industry representatives, we will realise our full potential and make an even bigger impact on the Scottish economy.”

Clarke recently oversaw the completion of the £170m New Victoria Hospital at Kirkcaldy and is running a number of projects for Strathclyde University and Edinburgh University.
