Balfour Beatty has won a £37m job to deliver two 24-bed hospital facilities in Scotland for NHS Highland.

On the Isle of Skye (pictured), the new facility at Broadford will provide in-patient and X-ray services, while over on the mainland at Aviemore, south of Inverness, a new centre built by Balfour will provide urgent care services.

The contractor has said it will build the facilities’ energy centres offsite as part of its commitment to reducing onsite activity.

Work is due to start later this summer, with completion expected in spring 2021.

Balfour Beatty’s gorund engineering arm is carrying out piling works on the jobs.
