Firm will work with local contractor to replace terminal gate

Balfour Beatty Construction has won a place on a $100m (£65m) contract to replace a terminal gate at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood international airport in Florida, USS.

The firm will work with local contractor James A. Cummings to replace the Terminal 4 gate to make room for a runway extension.

Rob Gillette, vice president of Balfour Beatty, said: “Our team is thrilled about the opportunity to work at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood international airport again. We’ve been successfully partnering with Cummings for more than 14 years, and this will be our fourth project together at the airport.”

Construction is due to beginning in summer 2011.
