Bam has been picked to design and build a new £21m medical school for the University of Lincoln.

Drawn up by architect HLM, the five-storey building will feature lecture theatres, laboratories and a science library, as well as clinical skills suites.

Bam will also work with Perfect Circle, a consortium comprised of Gleeds, Aecom and Pick Everard, in order to deliver a solar wall and living wall on the new build.

The scheme is also set to include a roof terrace on the southern side of the building that will be used for university events.

Bam will start on site at the university’s Brayford Pool campus later this year. The job is due to finish in spring 2021.

The wider project team includes Curtins, which is acting as the structural and civil engineer, and building services engineer SDA.
