Third award for the constructor in the education sector in recent months

BAM Construction has been appointed by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) to build The Deanery Church of England Academy in Swindon.

Work has begun on the site of the new three-storey secondary school with sports and arts facilities, which is scheduled to open in September 2019.

BAM has worked in consultation with the ESFA and Diocese of Bristol Academies (DBAT) to develop detailed designs within the £26.5m budget to produce the building.

The scheme follows the constructor’s completion of the Swindon University Technical College (UTC) and is also working on the £12m building for the Great Western Academy in the town, which is due to conclude by July 2018.

It has around 15 schemes on site throughout the South West and South Wales.
