Housebuilder shut schemes last month
Barratt is donating 400 defibrillators from its shut construction sites across the UK to help in the fight against coronavirus.
The housebuilder is handing over the equipment, usually used on its construction sites, to St John Ambulance and St Andrew’s First Aid.
St John Ambulance has started a nationwide appeal – called Take the Strain – to source equipment, including 1,000 defibrillators.
The country’s biggest housebuilder said it will hand over the defibrillators, worth more than £300,000, later this week.
The housebuilder has already donated personal protective items, including thousands FFP3 face masks, gloves and hand sanitiser, to local hospitals and social care services across the country.
