David Thomas joins the housebuilder from video retail group Game to take over from Mark Pain

Housebuilder Barratt has appointed David Thomas as the replacement for outgoing finance director Mark Pain.

Thomas, 46, is group finance director and deputy chief executive of video game retailer Game Group and will move to Barratt on 3 August.

Prior to Game he was group finance director at Millennium and Copthorne Hotels.

Bob Lawson, chairman of Barratt, said: “I am delighted that we are appointing someone of David's calibre to the board in succession to Mark Pain who has made an outstanding contribution in an intensely difficult market.”
