Architect Maccreanor Lavington releases designs for 279-home scheme in Barnet

Architect Maccreanor Lavington has released images of its designs for a 279-home scheme for Barratt at the Stonegrove estate in Barnet.

The architect said the designs for the final phase of the regeneration scheme, which have already won a Housing Design Award, had been influenced by the Garden City movement.

The scheme, called Evolution south, will provide 146 apartments and 147 terrace and courtyard houses arranged in tree lined streets. Gavin Finnan, associate at Maccreanor Lavington, said: “We believe that a home is a family’s greatest investment – financially and emotionally – and therefore don’t experiment with, or seek to invent, new materials and claddings for the sake of novelty. Brick weathers well, ages gracefully and doesn’t require a huge amount of repair or maintenance”.
