Housebuilder Bellway has opened a new 135,000sq ft timber frame factory in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Mansfield.
Known as Bellway Home Space, the firm said the opening was being made toincrease its use of sustainable, timber frame construction.
The factory, developed in partnership with Donaldson’s Timber Systems, uses robotic machinery from Swedish manufacturer Randek.

Bellway chief executive Jason Honeyman said: “Increasing our use of timber frame construction will play a central role in shaping the future of the business, delivering much-needed energy efficient homes while continuing to meet the high standards of quality our customers expect from Bellway.”
